Welcome!

We've launched this website to be there for those seeking information about our worship, about our lovely place in upstate New Jersey, and/or about our work together. The site is offered to communicate the joy and fulfillment we have in worshipping, studying, enjoying and serving the great and mighty God who created us and the world, who redeemed us in
and through Christ Jesus, and who sustains and maintains us all by the Holy Spirit.

In this website you will find info about who we are, who we endeavor to be, and the hope that keeps us going forward in life and faith.

Finding something very special in the religious world, as those of us at IFMC have found here, is more than rewarding. It's real, relevant and remarkable. It's Church in the best sense of the word. It's the God of heaven and earth at work among us, through Jesus Christ our Lord. It's fun. It's challenging. It's exciting!

We invite you to check us out and grow with us.

Sunday School groups meet at 10:00 a.m. each week. Our Worship Celebrations follow at 11:00 a.m. We would hope to encourage your own spiritual journey, your faith and your
compassion for this often-hurting world. The world needs you!

Yours sincerely, Pastor Stephen & Cindy Reyner

Having studied in Jerusalem, Israel, the West Bank and Jordan in 2008, the Reyners took a respite from time in a Palestinian Refugee Camp, from visiting a Jewish settlement, Yad Vashem and from planting olive trees at a family farm to have some fun. Here they finish a camel ride around the Mount of Olives. In the historic Church just below the top of the rise, Pastor Reyner had quite a spiritual insight as he realized that while Jesus prayed here the night he was arrested he could have easily taken off to Bethany (up over the hill), disappeared and gotten away. Instead, he voluntarily went on into arrest, sufferings and death on a cross for us, once and for all proving the love of God.

With moving their old 26 ft. sailboat across upstate New York on the historic Erie Canal in '09, Pastor and Mrs. Reyner also sailed Lake Erie in '10. Always challenging themselves to grow as persons, they are most thankful for God's call and ministry. They have studied in England, Chicago, Israel and the Midwest. While having pastored growing Churches in Georgia, Michigan, Illinois and Kentucky, the Reyners were recruited to IFMC in August 2010. They look to God for blessing, guidance and help in being there for the people of IFMC and Morris County, NJ.

Being faithful in the great Methodist 'social-action' heritage:

IFMC is a traditional/contemporary Church in the Methodist tradition, which traces back to John Wesley's revivals and ethics in England centuries ago. John Wesley's push for sincere and fervent religion, passionate for both worship and study of God as well as to pratically serve others, finds home among us today: financial giving to FMC missionary families in Spain and Africa as well as support of two impoverished children overseas totalled $ 2,094.00 in '09, $ 2,011.00 for '10 and $ 2,350.00 for '11.
In addition, the Church raises offerings of food, clothing and gifts for local underprivileged families at holiday times. It's our faith in action, reaching out to others to help and maintain, in Christian love and faith.
